Hey guys! First of all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. The reason for this is because, it was my birthday (I turned 14), it was my mums birthday, it was Christmas, it was new years eve and I got a dog. So my December / January has been really busy! I've wanted a dog (Labrador) for years. I used to have one when I was younger but we gave them away to new people. We named the dog Bowie, who is also named after David Bowie (famous singer, song writer and actor.) We got Bowie one day before my birthday (12th of December.) It has been exactly one month since we got him and he is one years old and I love him to bits. At times... Just Australian Things

Hello again, as you may or may not know, I am Australian. When you think of Australia or Aussies in general, you may think of 'shrimp on the barbie' or how we say mate after every sentence. Well probably what most of what your thinking may be true but some things just aren't true. Here are some slangs or just words in general that we say that others don't. Bottle-O Bottle-O is basically a liquor store, "your only 15 how do you know this", well as a matter of fact, I live across the road from one, I usually just call a liquor store, a liquor store. But for the true Aussie slang we would say Bottle-O Thong Now a thong, not the kind of thong that goes between your two cheeks, no, no, no. A thong is what goes on your feet, in other countries you would call this 'sandals' or 'flip flops'. But in Australia we call it a thong.
